Who is the anonymous Board member?
We can’t tell you that! It’s a secret. But he or she is very generous, that’s for sure. But if you’d like to say thanks, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll make sure the donor receives it.
Will the matching gift count toward my class’s gift total or my membership in The 1833 Society?
No. Only your original gift, before it is matched by the anonymous donor, is credited for these purposes. However, if your employer offers a corporate matching gift, that will count toward both your class gift and/or membership in The 1833 Society.
If my company matches my gift, will the anonymous donor match the corporate match?
No, sorry, only the original gift — made by you — will be matched by the anonymous donor.
If I made a gift before the Challenge began, will it be matched?
All gifts made by you and received between July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013 qualify for the match.
I made a recurring gift, payable in installments. How will it be matched?
The cumulative total of your recurring gifts received in cash between July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013 will be matched.
